Host Intro: Comets have long interested astronomers, but finding out what they are made of has not been an easy task. Dr. Don Brownlee is an astronomer and Principal investigator of NASA's Stardust Mission. The goal of the mission was to launch a spacecraft, have it meet up with a comet and grab a sample, and then return that sample to earth. Dr. Brownlee spoke about the Stardust Misson with How on Earth's Daniel Costello during a recent visit to Boulder.
